Roadtrip 2016 Fall: Vancouver - Yakima - Bend - John Day River - Port Orford - Florence - Seaside - Vancouver

Day 14 - Port Orford, Gold Beach

Wendy steams around the deck while Emma looks on.

Always keep your Matchbox cars - you never know when you may want to play with them again.

Wendy steams into the local seafood shack...

while Emma looks on.

Then, off to the beach!! Oh wait. First, the Rules and Regulations.

These boys probably aren't following the rules - but they were very friendly..

Rule #73: Playtime rules!

We discovered an outcrop of petrified wood, embedded in an ancient limestore layer along with the fossil footprints of Neonikethal Man. This location is being kept secret.

The ruined towers of an ancient Neonikethal empire stand in the rainforest nearby.

Still - there is Tsunami debris.

Today's flotsam of the day, all the way from Japan.

The Port Orford Bike Share. That's the bike.

The town of Port Orford employs a fleet of Japanese gardeners to tend their Battle Rock bonsai.

The World Famous Port Orford Bansai Garden.

Russ and Emma are about to scurry up the hill to check out the Red Fish Grill for future possibilities. It checked out good.

This part of the coast is home to a small herd of Brachiosaurs. They are very shy, and are amazingly fast for something weighing in at 65 tons. Understandably, only blurry pictures exist.

What they do best in Gold Beach.

Cape Sebastian view - the clouds are building.

Return to China Mountain - through some patchy fog.
